Minimum wage law program scheduled for April 11
CENTREVILLE – Employers will have the opportunity to learn about the new minimum wage laws at a breakfast meeting on April 11. Hosted by the Human Resource Council of St. Joseph County, the event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the Business Development Center at Glen Oaks Community College.
The seminar will be presented by John “Jack” Finn, administrator of Wage and Hour Division. Mr. Finn will answer questions including when overtime should be paid and how it should be calculated, what wages are due at time of termination, making deductions from an employee’s pay and more.
