CSM Worldwide exec to speak at Commerce Day luncheon
STURGIS – Mike Wall, Manager of Forecast & Analysis for CSM Worldwide, will be the featured speaker at this year’s Michigan Week Commerce Day luncheon to be held at 11:45 a.m. May 25 at Sturges-Young Auditorium. The event is being coordinated by the Sturgis Kiwanis Club and the City of Sturgis Economic Development department.
“St. Joseph County has a diverse manufacturing base,” said John Hayes, City of Sturgis Economic Development Director. “However, there is significant dependence on sales to Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive customers. With job migration to the southern United States and Mexico, business losses to China and India and recent headline attention to GM and Ford, it is important to keep abreast of future automotive trends.”
Mr. Wall’s focus at CSM Worldwide is automotive forecasting and market intelligence. He joined the company in April 2003. CSM Worldwide was founded in Lansing, MI in 1991 and has grown to be a global organization with locations in nine countries. Prior to joining CSM Worldwide, Wall served as Director of Forecasting for IRN, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI. There, he focused on analysis of auto industry trends, with primary responsibilities including quarterly North American vehicle forecasts and ad hoc analysis of diverse manufacturers and vehicle markets. He also has experience working in the finance and product launch field for a major Tier 1 supplier. Wall graduated with an undergraduate degree in finance from Grand Valley State University and earned the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
