Since our formation in late 1997, the St. Joseph County EDC has been directly involved in projects that have attracted over $27 million in state and federal grants and incentives, over $167million in private investment and $624,000 in job training dollars. Our efforts have helped create 1,218 jobs and another 2,505 jobs in other sectors of the economy. New payroll added exceeds $28 million with multipliers pushing this figure to nearly $38 million.
We are proud of these accomplishments and would like to remind visitors to this site that this is merely a portion of the overall investment activity in our county. The communities of Sturgis and Three Rivers have professional economic development staff working on projects that have created additional jobs and wealth in our county. The Villages of Constantine, Centreville, Burr Oak, Colon, White Pigeon and Mendon have also closed deals that have resulted in new jobs and investment. |
